Convert FLAC to WAV
For software or devices that can't open FLAC: convert to WAV with bit-identical audio. If you need tags in your DJ library, AIFF is the better choice.

FLAC vs WAV
| FLAC | WAV | |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Lossless, compressed | Lossless, uncompressed |
| Size (per minute, 44.1 kHz stereo) | ≈ 5–7 MB | ≈ 10.6 MB |
| Tags | Full (Vorbis comments + cover) | Limited; DJ software reads them partially |
- FLAC and WAV are both lossless: after conversion the audio samples are bit-identical; only the container changes.
- A 6-minute track: FLAC ≈ 30–42 MB, WAV ≈ 64 MB.
- WAV carries tags only partially; many DJ programs don't fully read title or cover art from WAV. If tags matter, choose AIFF.
How to do it
- Choose your FLAC files or folder (or drop them on the record).
- The output format is preset to WAV; analyze key and BPM first if you like.
- Download: a single file, a ZIP, or straight into a folder in Chrome and Edge.
FAQ
Does converting FLAC to WAV lose quality?
No. Both are lossless; the audio samples stay bit-identical.
Are tags and cover art kept?
Partly. WAV carries tags only partially and DJ software doesn't fully read them; choose AIFF if tags matter.
Are my files uploaded? Is there a limit?
No. Conversion runs in your browser and your files never leave your computer. There's no limit on file count or size.
